About Us
"Bear up the hands that hang down, by faith and prayer; support the tottering knees. Let us storm the throne of grace and persevere therein, so that grace will come down." - John Wesley
Destin and Wanda are living proof of God’s faithfulness. They have experienced His goodness and mercy through countless trials in their lives. They know first hand the pain of absolute despair and feelings of hopelessness rooted in illness, divorce, abuse, and a failing economy. Many people face similar difficulties in the world today. They’ve learned that “it is in those deep pits of despair that God shapes us and develops our character into something fit for His using”. It is through thankful hearts that Destin and Wanda have been healed of some of the deepest wounds imaginable.
Destin and Wanda, Louisiana natives, reside in Wheeling, West Virginia with their two sons, Tyler and Austin. They are active members in their church, The Ohio Valley Christian Center. Destin has served the church as a children’s teacher, usher and altar worker. He also has served on the church board for five years as a trustee and is now currently serving as a deacon. Wanda has also served as a children’s teacher and helps teach the Ladies Sunday school class. She serves actively as the Ladies Director, leading bible studies and various ladies events. Wanda has served since 2002 as the church treasurer/bookkeeper.
Experiencing the pain of watching their five year old son fight for his life, this family came to the revelation of what it means to truly release all to the Lord, even their son. They know of God’s faithfulness and have become familiar with His promises, His grace, His comfort, and can testify to why He is called the “Prince of Peace”.
Destin and Wanda are convinced that God has called them to share a message of Hope and encouragement with so many suffering in today’s world. By honestly sharing their testimony of heartache and disappointment, listeners will gain a sense of peace over their own painful circumstances and learn how to have faith and hope in all situations. “There are times when God chooses not to deliver us from the fire of affliction but rather chooses to walk us through it so that the chains that bind our lives can be burned away and we find ourselves refined in the fire”.
